Bulgur Wheat, also known as Cracked Wheat, is a whole wheat grain cereal, made from the parboiled groats of different types of toasted cracked wheat, such as Durum Wheat. Bulgur Wheat is very easy to cook, and it is a quick-cooking whole grain. It is terrific when used in pilafs, salads, hamburgers and Middle Eastern recipes.
To cook, use one part Bulgur for every 3 parts of water. Bring water to a boil, then add the Bulgur. Boil for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. remove from heat and cover.Let it stand for 5 minutes, then drain the excess water. Enjoy!
